My personal olympic event: Tron

This was a lot of fun. Ever hear of a video game called Tron? Well, the University of Waterloo held an Artificial Intelligence challenge based on it. The level of participation was way higher than I ever expected it would be. I’m sure that the fact Google was sponsoring the challenge had something to do with the interest. In the end, I placed 49th out of approximately 800 participants. My language of choice was C#. And, my entry was 4th best out of the C# entries. The final results clearly illustrate one of the difficulties with this challenge. There are only 708 rankings shown. Therefore, it can be concluded that almost 100 participants were disqualified for exceeding the 1 second time limit between moves.

A day and a few hours later and I’m already releasing 0.1.1. Highlights are the following:

banshee-telepathy-extension 0.1.0

In an effort to make my Google Summer of Code work more accessible, I’ve packaged it all up into a tarball with all the autotools fixins to compile and install for use with your existing Banshee installation.

SyncMyPix 0.7

I’ve been listening to you, users of SyncMyPix. And, when I’m not listening, I’m reading your minds.
